Hi All!

My grandfather made me some jumps for Christmas last year, and since then has been talking about wanting to sell some jumps that he makes. I think it's a neat idea, just to sell a few online. That in mind, I had a few questions for you:

1. What sort of materials do you prefer for your jumps? PVC or Wood? (For the actual stands of the jumps- the poles would be PVC)

2. How many do you have at home?

3. How big would you like to see them (height/width)

4. Would you buy jumps with rails or without?

5. Would you buy more 'creavite' jumps- more like those seen at big horse shows (EX: http://hadlandfarm.com/sales/sold/surprize-tulsa-gp.jpg or http://www.bigeq.com/horsesforsale/8-2-07_oblivion.jpg or http://www.ewarmbloods.net/AHHA/stallions_files/laurinn.jpg )?

6. Would you be interested in buying items such as flower boxes and jump accessories?

7. How thick should the poles be (width-wise?)

8. Would price would you consider paying for a well-made jump set?

This would just mostly be for fun (Hey- I get to keep any that dont sell!!!), and we would probably only sell a few. I mean- is there even a real market for it? I know what I like in a jump- and I'm pretty picky. But what do YOU like??

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR INPUT!!!

As many times as I have seen questions about jumps posted here I would think there would be a market for them. You are only limited by your imagination as to the different jump combos. I show pinto and they have specific requirements for the jumps but our show manager adds things like "rock or brick" fences under them and that can blow some horses minds that aren't used to it. I know A/R have jumps with boxes, flowers ect.
