I purchased this guy a couple of years ago. He was in a forced sale. It was one of those things were you go knowing that you are NOT going to buy anything.
: When he was brought out for viewing and bidding my jaw dropped. He was nothing but skin and bones, his body had eaten away any muscle he had. :new_shocked: The last time I had seen this horse (approximatly 4 months earlier) he was grossly overweight. The only thing I can figure is that he had been starved down, to look good, for the sale. :no: This horse is a National Champion, multiple Top Tens, etc. One day after I purchased him he was rushed in to surgery for impaction because I made the mistake of feeding him.
: The 3 vets involved, including the surgeon were extremely upset as the ONLY food in his system was what I had given him.

Anyway, its been a long haul but he is finally putting on some weight. He is not in condition as he hasn't held enough weight to exercise him for fear of his losing everything he gained.
: I think we are going to start a mild excersize program now.
