: My colt Cody, is a little over 4 months old and acts like a mature stallion. Yesterday he was teasing two mares on the other side of the stall gate and it was freaky how he knew just what he was doing. He had a full erection and was actually dripping fluid. Then he'd get frustrated at not being able to reach them and would squeal and buck, then go back to his mama to nurse...just bizarre to watch. Both mares would have been totally willing if he had been in with them. I've never seen a colt this young show so much interest in mares. Has anyone else ever had a baby like this? His testicles are fully down, but are still very small. I have nicknamed him "Libido Boy:. LOL :bgrin

I got two of those.

I swear it started from a week old too.

Must be the mountain water up here. I should bottle the stuff and sell it up north to the Yankees and make a fortune and give Viagra a run for the money.

You know what they say about good old fertile Tennessee.

: Yip, had one of those at 4 months,,,,,,,,,,,and he was gelded at 5.

Tah-dah,,,,,,,,,,no more problem!!!!!!!

I had one of those at 5 months!!

I have one too !!! He is 3 months old and is a pain in the posterior !!!!

He will not leave the mares alone, and challenges the stallion when I bring him over to tease, complete with stallion squealing, striking and shaking his head from side to side..

I've never gelded one this young, but I think he will be in the next few weeks, before fly season gets going. I don't think I can wait until fall

Harley is currently 7 months and over the past few weeks i've noticed his hormones have started kicking in ....BIG TIME. He thinks Lexus (my 10 month old APHA big filly) is his mom and he is never more then 5ft away from her. Well last month i decided it was time to give Lexus her own pasture so we moved her over to our big horse pasture because i noticed Harley made a attempt (rather sad attemt, but still an attempt) to mount all 30'' of him on all 54'' of her. So we split them up very fast.

I also have 3 gelding in denial ........i call them my Nutless Wonders!

:bgrin

Hiya

Yeah we were to pick up Sirion our newest little one and we have definetly decided to have him gelded before doing so as this is what he is doing. We were so spoilt by Cupid who just never was an ounce of trouble and wasn't gelded we were waiting till after summer to have it done but unfortunately he died suddenly just after his second birthday. So the lady we are getting him off says Good Idea also.We just had our little boy (human) LOL circimcised thru necessity and he had an artery burst and everything else go wrong so enough blood there I am afraid so YEP Sirion gets the op very shortly. He is 6 months old so hopefully will be ok to go ahead.
