Bugs in grain bag & colic - coincidence????

Not sure about the bugs, never had bugs in my grain before but do agree that maybe there was some mold it could have caused a problem. I limit grain when showing especially if its a long haul to the show and is going to be a really long tiring day for them. Rain has colicked in the past and I...

Hi, I have a mini who could use a little weight reduction! Currently he is on grassy hay and 1 cup of carbguard/day. clipping trouble

I love the clicker training idea, I hadn't thought about that. I have done some clicker work w/ him and he picks it up very quickly. I'll give it a try, I'd rather not have to twitch him every time I clip. Thanks for the advice. - Cindy

My Pembroke Welsh Corgi Is Sick

I'm so glad to hear shes doing better. I did a little research online about the conection between hypothyroidism and liver function and found that it can indeed cause liver dysfunction. So, Ithink you're right it's probably due to not having her meds for a few days. It'll be interesting to see...

    Quick Questions about Bio-sponge

I just got a tube for my yearling who was recently hospitalized for colic from the Vet. It is good till 2010, so it's good for about 2 yrs. It does not say anthing about storing but I imagine it should be kept in a cool dry place. It is very thick goopy stuff so it probably would be pretty...

    Two minis sharing a stall

I stall my yearling gelding with my 7yr old gelding and they get along great. They are in an approx 12x8 area and are only locked in when the weather is bad otherwise they use it as a run- in. I do have to watch them when I give them grain as the older one will steal the younger ones grain. I...

As I am new to minis, we've had him for about a yr now, I wanted to get your opinions. It's so slight that at times I'm not really sure if it's my imagination or not, at a trot he...
