    Reintroducing stallion, help please

Several months ago, we brought home our gang from the farm they had been at together. The two bred mares were not bred to the stallion we had brought with them, but they all knew each other. Things were fine, until shortly before the first girl foaled. That was totally expected. We just rotated...

What do you do while waiting in the barn at night?

Solitaire? Facebook? Balance the checkbook? Taxes?? Or stare at your mare, willing her to start labor? Sunny Michelle foaled without us there. I knew she was really close..and when I went to get coffee and the girls, there was Clover. Waiting for us! Becky has me more concerned. I don't know...

Our new family finally arrived Sunday. We had to wait what felt like forever for the Coggins results! The elderly gentleman who owned them never had vet care, or farrier work, and they were pasture bred. My granddaughters are in Heaven..and we are nervous as can be!

    New mare questions..

We are waiting on the Coggins results before bringing our new family members home. Glad to have the time to get things ready, and to figure out what to do next. A bit of background..I have had horses, and mini-donkeys, but never mini horses. The mare and to-be-gelded 1yr old should be here next...

    New to mini horses

Hi Folks... I am not new to the farm, but am new to minis.   I am purchasing a couple (1yr to be gelded, 12yr proven mare due to foal this spring), mostly for my granddaughters, though I am a bit silly over them myself, haha.   We have had horses in the past, cattle, and mini...
