I had a mare that rejected her little colt. I milked her through endless days and fed the little thing. Then when I was too tired to do that anymore. I held the mare into the corner until it nursed then I would keep doing that. Then finally she gave in tired of being pushed into a corner. :bgrin
:aktion033: :aktion033: Congrats Dona!!!! :aktion033: :aktion033:
Can't wait to see the foal! I too had the same thing happen to me last year. The vet said there was an infection then she had a baby.
My earliest foaling date was 295. She was not preemi looking or anything. I had to help her nurse a little though due to the mare's bag wasn't fully devolped.
You know you can never be exactly sure when they are going to have it. Is there anything in her bag? like yellow liquid or clear liquid? Is her rear soft? Keep me updated on her.
I have noticed that's what flirt always does. That is her favorite thing to do. She is like a cat that sleeps 16 hours a day. Or was it 18 hours? lol. Anyway keep us updated on how she is doing.
