    filly not eating her grain

    filly not eating her grain

Our little filly has stopped eating her grain, she is still nursing some and she seems to eat her hay. We wormed her a couple of days ago and the weather here turned hot. Tonight we took out and walked her, she ran, jumped and played but once she went back to the stall and we started feeding...

I noticed tonight that we have some bees in the barn, one stall seems to have a nest inside the wall. Suggestions on how to safely without hurting the horses to rid the barn of them? Thanks

    eye question in filly

It does look a little cloudy, just kinda dull looking. I am not sure about irritating her? To me she seems to sleep alot unless we are in the barn then she is up and active

    eye question in filly

Our little filly is 4 weeks old and seems to be doing good. I have noticed a change in her left eye though, at birth and up to about a few days ago the black pupil part was big with very little white edge that you could see. But now her left eye the white area around the black has increased...

    False Heat?

Is it possible for a pregnant mare to have false heat? I have a maiden that is suppose to be with foal, so the previous owners said, but when she gets around a stud or a gelding she will squirt like she is in heat . Is that a sign she is not pregnant?

feeding for a nice lean look

What are your feeding portions of hay and grain to maintain those lean looks? My mini's need to be slimmed down. Plus on the little filly that was just born I would like to start her off correctly.
