infoal or fat and how old? help please

I had a 24 yr old mare given to my daughter and we were certain she was just fat. She'd been a stallions compaion for several years and hadn't gotten bred, so she was condsidered to be barren. I, thinking she was overweight, put her on a strick diet and exercise regime even though she was a...

    Helping your horses shed out

I feed my horses Omega Horseshine. I start them on it around Feb until mid winter. I still clip, but it really helps them shed out nice, with nice glossy undercoats. It contains ground flaxseed and other ingrediants like biotin, vitamin b12, riboflavin etc. I swear by this stuff.

I read recently coconut oil is really good to use, like the more solid, organic. Also the Olive spray for ethnic hair.

"Spiritus Equus": a graduate project with my ponies...

Thanks so much. At the end of the semester I will have to share my favorites, and I always try and capture outtakes... like Surprise slowly opening the "barn" door to peek in, then he slowly closed it after spying Diego in the spotlight. I have a feeling much teasing ensued later on. Can you...

Lunging my 4 year old Paint Mare

Cavaletti are the same as ground poles in the western world. You can get small blocks for them, but just using them flat on the ground works too. They are AWESOME and should be used in all phases of your training and conditioning, regardless if you pleasure ride, english or western. The poles...

OMG !! This makes me sick

Well, you got me Tagalong. Im a liar and a sensationalist. I have No idea what im talking about. I obviously don't have your extensive knowledge, nor have I personally witnessed the hundreds of actual slaughters that you must have to deem them humane. Sadly, I don't frequent PMU farms either to...

OMG !! This makes me sick

Im very sorry Minimor. I most certainly wouldn't make something like that up. I am thankful that you have met a many good, humane PMU producers. I hope that is the norm. As I stated in my original post, I would be more than happy to pass on my sources of information. I would never expect anyone...

OMG !! This makes me sick

a pneumatic gun IS a captive bolt... but there are two types, pneumatic and cartridge. the pneumatic uses air charges and the cartridge uses blanks to fire the bolt into the brain, preferrably through the thinnest part of the animals skull. There is one place to shoot. A horse, whos anatomy is...
