I know that in Country pleasure you can use a light collar harness for that class, but what about in the western?

I'd really like to use my collar harness at nationals but don't want to get DQ'd if the rules say you can't.

Here is what the 2007 Supplement Rule Book says:

General Regulations

1. WCP driving is to be shown to a two-wheeled cart only. Bike tires or wooden wheels are permissable.

2. Harness in the WCP driving division must be of the light type. Breastcollars or light collars are permissable, but no full harnesses are allowed. Britching is optional. Side or over checks are required. When shown, the horse must have blinders (round or square) and the check must be hooked. No other appliances may be used on a driving horse other than the harness.

3. Bits in the WCP driving shall be of the snaffle type. No liverpool bits, curb chains or straps are allowed.

4. Matingales and check bits are optional.

Hope that helps.
