summer sheet or fly sheet?

I need some fly protection for my little mare but a mesh fly sheet is not going to hold up to her. She tries to rub her winter blanket off along the fence so I don't see the mesh lasting long. Would a summer sheet be too hot to use as a turn out fly sheet? Im in Florida so it does get hot and very humid here.

Kensington makes a very durable fly sheet. A normal sheet is just going to get ripped up too. I had a mare that needed to wear a fly sheet all summer and the particular sheet I bought her from Kensington was very tough. Many fly sheets are not.
