Raising your own beef? Anyone else trying this for the first time?

We just did our first, bit weird because it was a pet type cow lol, but once you got over that it is the best meat. Never had a chemical touch it. Alto if we knew a bit more about them we probably could''ve let him grow a bit bigger, the steaks were about 3/4 of the size of shop purchased ones haha. Still, perfect meat!

And yes you could easily get attached to them. But you tell yourself that they are not pets, and you go hug your horses or dog or cat.I get attached to the mice that I find that need help in the barn. But these are different. You treat them really well, and give them a great life. We have made the appt for processing our first one for the end of August. So will let you know how it goes. He will be 15 months old.

The terrible things that are fed to them that are terrible for them and the people that eat them. Gross.
