Well, when the Commander in Chief doesnt hold that vow, cant blame anyone else for not. Remember he just stated that he would still be for the War even if only his wife and dog were behind him. That is in effect stating that he doesnt care what the republic ( for which the flag stands, ya know, us ignorant folks) thinks. To me he is saying that since he is 'the decider' he is omnipotent.

Of all the things the US has and employs this, I think above all other I respect and admire you for.
