Buttercup had her filly 6-26 around daylight.

It was a nice day around 90 low humidy.

My question is how cool is too cool to leave baby out at night?

It got 59deg last night with dew and it will be around 60 deg low for the next few nights.

It usually takes a newborn a couple of days to regulate their own body temp. After that, 60 degrees is fine for a foal to be in, in my opinion.

Thank you for your post.

I was a bit worred and didnt wont any thing to happen.

This is a front moveing through and it will be back up to

65plus for the lows in a few days.

I love my new baby and only wont the very best for her.

As i know all of you do and fill the same as i do.

How could a person not love a miniature horse.

I'd say 50-60 is more than warm enough for a new foal to stay outside. We foaled all of ours out in April this year, and we were getting frost some nights. Generally if it was about 40 ours were fine; anything less than 40 we blanketed them. Our nights right now are around 50-55 right now & that's just nice--perfect foaling weather.

Congratulations on your new baby! Got pix???

Thank you thats makes me fill better.

I posted a pic of her on my post-Buttercup foaled a filly 6-26
