We have had our first Anatolian "Akin" for 10 or 11 years now, and he's really the best dog we've ever known - we lose NO sheep or chickens and no one messes with the horses... but he's a sweetie and safe around people and kids (at least the ones who come through the front gate!)
We've been thinking about his eventual "replacement" for awhile, and wanted to get one in time for Akin to help "train" - we were in line for a puppy, but the litter didn't happen last year. So when "Stuart" came up for adoption, I asked about him - and yesterday we made the 900 mile round trip to get him and bring him home. He's been a little spoiled, and he's a little thin, but I have high hopes that he'll work out well.... we are introducing him to everything slowly - but he's next to 2 horses and doesn't mind them a bit so far!
So here is Stuart!
