Mini "People's Choice" Products

My local newspaper is doing a "People's Choice" contest where subscribers can vote on their favorite restaurants, businesses and services, so I thought it would be fun to have a mini related "People's Choice" contest!

Please vote for your favorite brands of show horse products in these categories....

Well these are what we use:

1. Best Shampoo- EQyss

2. Best Conditioner - EQyss

3. Best Detangler - EQyss or CowBoy Magic

4. Best Coat Spray/Polish - Ultra or Pink

5. Best Hoof Polish - Ultra

6. Best Face Enhancer (muzzles, eyes, ears) - Baby oil gel with Aloe & Vit E

7. Best Product For Making Manes Lay Down - Cowboy Magic Detangler/Shine or Most human hair gels.

And one thing I always have on hand is Mac Wipes for removing all groom products from my horses face and body when I am finished showing in a class. All get bathed when they are finished showing for the day or weekend depending. But I make sure I remove all that I can right after the classes are finished.

1. Best Shampoo - Rio Vista Equine Shampoo because it has a wonderful clean minty smell and seems to make the hair extremely soft and shiny. I admit I've never used anything else though!

2. Best Conditioner - Don't use one

3. Best Detangler - Absorbine Show Sheen

4. Best Coat Spray/Polish - Absorbine Show Sheen because it leaves the horse feeling slick and clean, not greasy

5. Best Hoof Polish - Haven't found one I like yet. The black always chips! I love Ultra Hoof Polish Enhancer though.

6. Best Face Enhancer (muzzles, eyes, ears) - World Champion Shine On. It makes the horse look wet without that patent leather shine and doesn't seem to tempt the horse to rub it off quite as much as oil. It also smells good.

7. Best Product For Making Manes Lay Down - Braiding, a sleazy, and a lot of gel! *LOL*

8. Best Green Spot Remover - Cowboy Magic. It worked wonders on my Sabino Arabian.

4. Coat Polisher- World Champion Pepi (looks great on manes and tails)

5.Hoof Polish- We use Absorbsine Super Shine but it doesn't last long. Would like to find a new one.

6. Face Enhancer- Silverado Face Glo

7. Hold down manes- have never use anything really but thought Shapely's Mane Mousse sounds like it would be good.

Baby Oil Gel with Vitamin E (I think it's the purple one, the color is the original reason I picked it up...)

7. Best Product For Making Manes Lay Down

Slinky hood Seriously.... dampen the mane with water and then put the hood on until right before your class. Barely any gel will be needed.
