If there is a horse being shown that was purchased from a judge, who also happens to be judging the show, is there a time frame for which the judge would not be allowed to judge the said horse?

I am sure it would be in the rule book, but thought I might "toss the question out" in case someone knows off the top of their head.

Yes, there is a rule in AMHA because it happened to us in 2006. I don't remember the exact time frame but it was pretty short, like a few months? We were judged and placed well under both judges.

I don't have a new rule book, but seems to me that yes there is rule. Been there, conflict of interest, but don't remember the time frame. Seems to me there was something about showing in the same area that the judge was judging in as well. Maybe someone with a new rule book can help you. MinimomNC may be able to help if you PM her, she keeps up with this kind of stuff.
