It's been rainy and very muggy where I live, and every day when I go out to my horses' pasture, CLOUDS of tiny black bugs (I'm assuming gnats) fly up off the ground. They're on plants by the pasture, on the fence rails, and on all the damp ground in the pasture. The problem is, it is SO damp here and has been for a while. They don't seem to bother the horses...they seem to really gravitate towards the muck and damp ground. Does anyone else have this issue!? I'm not sure how to begin to combat it. I'm hoping there was just a hatch of these bugs and they'll die off soon, because it's completely gross and really annoying!
