I bought a big supply of good grass hay. I opened a bale last night and it was full of thistle.

I don't like to feed it so I set the bale aside. I still have plenty so I don't HAVE to use this one.

BUT........do you ever feed hay with thistle to your donkeys? I know donks can eat anything (or just about anything) but I worry about it poking their mouths. It's really pretty soft but I don't know.........

Help me out?

Personally, I think I'd burn the bale, so you don't have thistle growing all over your property.

It might be safe to feed to the donkeys, but then you run the risk of spreading the thistle all over your property.
