I've agonized over this quilt like none other. I think this is because it's so different for me. I'm really a quilt traditionalist, do only the traditional patterns and quilt it in old styles. Um....wait a minute, this all may be due to my age. LOL

Anyway, this Smokey Mountain Star quilt is a newer pattern and so I've decided to take a walk on the wild side and quilt it differently. So, without further ado, here is my quilt in progress.

What???? You mean I'm supposed to finish this thing? Now you tell me. LOL

At the rate I'm going, it may take me forever.
 
Ok, so now I'm sold on the wind pattern, it's wonderful. I couldn't quite see the effect on paper, but so nice on the quilt. Lovely.
 
What are your thoughts of quilting a crescent moon inside of each of the stars?
It would be a lot of work.

Thanks Marsha. I knew it would take a long time to do all this "wind" and I was correct. It just keeps on going and going......sorta like the energizer bunny. LOL
