Did I miss it this year? I can't remember when it is:( I've been getting worse by the day and I keep on keeping on but now find a grade 2 neurosurgeory I had some years ago (I've had two) wasn't done properly?(bad fusion now interfering with spinal cord) and the neurosurgeon I just saw more or less ran like a rabbit from me..asked me who did that and sent me on my way so now am with another guy who is supposedly going to have my neck "injected", with what I don't know, nor do I know how it's done or anything so my family doctor who is as disgusted as I am with the whole affair, is meeting with me on the 18th to explain the whole procedure to me and set it up with someone else.

This is very scary for me since I will have to go off my anticoagulant which makes more vulnerable again to the blood clots!

They plan to inject both my cervical spine and lower lumbar spine..anyone here ever had it done?

OK that's all totally off subject, why I posted was to find out when Nationals are this year and to get the link to the live feed if possible?

Thanks for your patience..I sit here as I write with a "TENS" unit on which is a neat electric stimulation unit so you all go enjoy your health and youth..hopefully I'll again be able to get on here again more often.

OH one thing, at our local fair which I managed to take my daughter and little 7 yr old grand daughter to, I ran into a forum member.

She bought a stallion Windhavens Rythym and Blues by Solid Gold Tender Love..

she's had him gelded and I have to say that old adage , a good stallion can make a great gelding is true! He is truly a beautiful, sweet breath taking gelding..I fell instantly in love and can't wait to see how he does in future..no big plans right now as I remember but perhaps Midland and I know he'll do well there. He has awesome color, a terrific neck, up on his toes, and a kind eye, Alert but not frantic, level headed but not stodgy..anyway I was greatly impressed and hope you all can follow him in future. Oh his "mom" is Northernmi on here from Northern Michigan.

Again what I need are dates and links for Nationals, have a good evening, Maxine

Maxine,

I am sorry for everything you are going through.

I have had injections in my lower lumbar this summer - they refused to give me anything to calm me down. Please beg your doctor for this. It is extremely painful - now some people say it isn't that maybe the dr hit something wrong. I don't know because it did not help me so I did not have it again.

Now, as far as the Nationals - I got mixed up and called the AMHA Nationals - I forgot it was called Worlds now.

Do you mean AMHA or AMHR? If you let me know I will look it up for you.

I have had spinal injections as well as a lumbar fusion with titanium screws done 5 yrs ago and am doing good. My experience with the steroid injections is to make sure it is with a pain specialist and if it comes to surgery get with a neuro surgeon. I worked for the doc who did mine and he went thru the front of me moved all my insides around and installed the screws that way there was no back muscles or nerves cut into and less likley to have nerve damage and I healed better. The steroid injections can only be so many in a year and they will also cause scar tissue to develop and if you are diabetic it will cause the blood sugars to soar sky high fo awhile. And as with anything degenerative with the spine you can get the bone spurs and a host of other problems. I sometimes have sciatic pain in the lt leg but nothing like it was before. You just have to change your lifestyle...Good Luck!

Thanks for the replys..I should have split that into two posts and put one on back porch eh? Got the AMHR info I wanted and will post the spianl stuff on back porch, long story so won't tie up the horsey stuff here. Thanks again, Maxine
