Golden Girl belonged to a friend of mine just down the road. She was a nice mare, a little "older" style, but produced nice babies.

Astarte is out of business now, but they had some real nice horses too.

Thanks for the reply. I was not familiar with the name 'Astarte' (here in Florida). I guess they were up there in the NE area? I was wondering what the sire (Astarte's Splash of Color) and the dam (Rocking Horse Golden Girl) looked like.

So, the mare was 'old style'...does that mean heavier boned/thicker?

Yes, a little heavier boned, but she wasn't "coarse". Nice mare. Astarte was Roseanne Goodman's farm, which is now out of business. She was in Michigan, around Ann Arbor.

Great news - Roseann Goodman is NOT out of business - Astarte Miniatures still exists. I will PM you with her e-mail and you can chat with her about Bandit and his heritage.
