Does anyone here have Alpacas in with their minis? If so, do they get along well with each other in the pasture? Would appreciate pros and cons if you have answers.

The alpaca now 2 year olds have been running with the weanling, now yearling horses all fall and winter with no problem.

Our mares and our dwarf run with all of our alpacas- females, geldings, and crias- no problems. Our dwarf actually prefers hanging out with them than the mares! We've never had a single problem- our 06 colt loves playing with our two 06 crias- but he's never hurt them- he knows when to stop

We have two alpacas running with one herd that has 5 mares, 4 weanlings, and a pony filly and all are doing well! The only thing is that the horses are definately the bosses over the alpacas. We have to feed the alpacas far away, or they don't eat. Those piggy mares

: We've found that the alpacas really LOVE the foals. We even ran them in with the mares and stallion last summer, and they found the whole breeding process to be VERY entertaining! They would run right over and put their little faces in the middle of the whole goings on... We would just laugh and laugh!! I swear!

Hi all, We don't have alpacas, but we do have llamas. Our miniatures happily run with the llamas, geldings, and mums with cria at foot. One of my yearling colts loves playing with the cria and joins in the follow the leader game the llama cria love to play. We have never had a problem.
