5 day safeguard purge before show

I may have asked this before on here, but I cant recall any responses.

How far in advance of a show should the 5 day purge be done?

I would like to do it on Midas, but we have a show october 11-14, and it is a 4ish hour drive, so Im not sure if that would be too much stress. My wormer came in today, so I could start it tonight when Im at the barn, and the 5 days would be over october 2nd, 9 days before we leave for the show. Is that enough time, or should I wait until after we get back from the show?

I just yesterday finished 3 of my horses on the 5 day fenbendazole treatment. None of mine had any reaction at all, so I would say (from my experience) that if your little one needs worming, that I would go ahead with the treatment now.
