    Secret Santa HINT THREAD!!!!

I think I already gave hints, but.... I LOVE "homesteading" stuff, canning, etc. I am actually canning right now! I like anything with horses on it. Books are good.. I am easy to please.

    Keeping your miniatures

I just posted pictures of my barn this week, so you can see pictures of it in the My Mini Barn thread. We have two stalls for our three horses: one for the gelding, and one for the two mares. The girls are the same age and have been together since birth and do not like to be apart. They even eat...

    Our mini barn

AngC, the shelves are high enough that our little shorties cannot reach the shelves or decorations. Our minis are rather small; the tallest is Tucker, the gelding, and he stands 30inch tall.

    Meet my new boy!

He is so cute, and that's adorable that he called to the dog. Congrats!

    Our mini barn

Thank you! Ours are pretty spoiled Those are 31 bags, with their names embroidered on them, and I also have pictures I painted of each horse on the other wall. When we moved Tucker (gelding) from his other shed, we took down his ball and his painting before we moved him. He was SO upset and...

    Our mini barn

I haven't posted much lately, because I had been posted on the FB page, but after getting the email about the Secret Santa sign up (so excited) I have been playing around today. We have now had our minis for a year, and they are a year and a half old and doing great! Since my last post, we...

Who still has his first miniature?

I still have my first two ( I bought them at the same time) but that isn't very impressive, as I just got them a year ago this month. A five month old and a six month old. It changed my life bc now I am much more into the farm and homesteading and horses. They are my stress relief. Knowing what...

NC Year of the Horse Mini Demos

AH! I wish I could have been here for this. I just saw Guy McLean at a Colt Start Challenge in Chatham Virginia last week and I saw on his fan page that he was at the state fair.

    Leading a Stubborn Horse

NOT an expert, by any means. But my girl Holly, who is now a year and a half, was the WORST balker. She'd just stop and you could pull her head off but she wasn't budging. So I stopped pulling. I just stood next to her (at her shoulder) and didn't move, but didn't let her put her head down to...

    Just sent mine in!

    Moody mares??

I have heard people suggest Mare Magic. Apparently it is just dried raspberry leaves apparently? I haven't used it. My girls just went into their first heat and they weren't too bad. Just a little more snippy with each other than usual. And very kissy with the gelding.

    Worms?

Thanks all! I brushed Holly (the unclipped one) forEVER today and her hair IS coming loose and shedding, but it is taking too long. SO, we clipped her today, and I was actually pretty pleased with what was under the coat. What do you think? (She is getting a bath in this pic)

    Worms?

Hi all! So, not too long ago, we clipped one of my yearling mares, Ivy. Once the fuzzies were gone, we noticed we could see some of her ribs. We have not clipped Holly yet. She shed the longest hairs out, and her face, but the rest of her is still kinda fuzzy. I'm pretty confident the girls...

    Leaving Halters On.....No!

That picture made me so sad (of the horse who died). We never leave halters on. But to answer the OP question...yeah that quote is confusing to me, bc I have three minis and my mom has a QH and a Paso Fino, and none of them need halters on to be caught. They do not wear halters unless we are...

    Probably a long shot, but...

Thanks Tricia! I have seen some of them, bc I visited your farm's page when you commented on my post introducing Tucker on the fb mini page. I love your farm! You have the prettiest chickens, too!
