    Grass belly or Gas belly?

Hi, This is my first summer with my miniature horses and I'm concerned about my Lady Lavender, I don't know if she is in danger of colic or if she naturally gets huge grass belly when she grazes. She doesn't exhibit any of the signs of colic but she looks like she swallowed a giant football...

The only dumb question is the one you don't ask...(ok to feed bananas?)

I'm glad you posted this, Lavender doesn't like apples or carrots, I'm going to try a banana!

The fur is starting to fly...

Lavender is starting to shed more especially the white parts of her. I just wish her neck would shed a little faster, she is so itchy.

    Ultra Boss pour on

Is there any need to be concerned with the mini or mini pasture mates licking or chewing this product? I need something to repel mosquitoes and flies and would like to use this product, if it wouldn't be poisonous if ingested accidentally.

    Fodder Feeding Systems

I think I would like to try this system. I already grow sprouts indoors for my family, my birds ( we raise finches and canaries) and my tortoises. It couldn't be any more difficult growing some to feed one little 28" filly? I'm going to check it out and get back to you when I do. Thanks for...

    WARPATH! Defeating the fiery Hoard

An idea for those of us with only a small bit of land to treat. A neighbor suggested placing upside down flower pots on the large mounds and coffee cans on smaller mounds and using either fire ant poison or the cornmeal then removing the pot after the mound is dead.

    WARPATH! Defeating the fiery Hoard

Wow! Corn meal, I have never heard of using it for fire ants but I'm going to try it. If it works, I will be so happy. I try not to use poisons in my yard or home because of the potential harm they could cause my animals but fire ants...ooh..they deserve to die by any means! I will let you...

    WARPATH! Defeating the fiery Hoard

As I look out across my lawn in the morning light, I see them, like so many miniature volcanoes ready to erupt into an angry bitey hoard. Fire Ants...How I hate them! This war between us shall never end until I have defeated each and every last one of them and their little Queens too! I am...

    "They aren't good for anything...."

You know, it doesn't matter if you like minis or any animal really, you don't come up to someone and say something like that about their pet/companion. She was terribly rude and I don't think I would have been so kind. You did the right thing. I have dealt quite a bit with a similar version of...

    Can I post ...rules etiquette?

Hello everyone, I'm new and I don't want to break any forum rules so, can I post for help in choosing my new mini? Post photos and ask for opinions or is that not allowed?

Hello from Lady Lavender in Houston

To Field of Dreams, Foxhaven, Jill, Good morning! To Field of Dreams That is good to know, being a new to everything horse person, I get most of my information from books which, of course, tell you the worst case scenario if you don't remove every shaving and dig down four feet to replace...

Hello from Lady Lavender in Houston

Hi Scooter, It measures 16'x22' and I wanted the shavings to be nice and thick but then started thinking about having to replace the shavings all the time. Its one of those realities you don't quite think of until you are faced with it. I don't think we can ever truly be done with "those"...
