Not a problem at all. I'm sure the show officials would much rather have someone nearby "just in case" then something happening that could hurt the child, other children or horses.
Barn kittens playing with anything they come across, a couple of good cups of coffee in the morning, new hay put up in the barn. Watching the baby deers, my snoring Boston Terrior, show horses that are coming together right when they need too!
Could sure use a place to work horses on Golf cars. A designated place, even during certain times would sure help. Other then that I'm good....Love Nationals!!!! I do agree about breaking up the amateur classes differently to help the new people.
Congratulations Buckeye Walnut Creek!!! Huge honor and a very deserved one!! Your horses you showed in 2010 were gorgeous, beautiful babies....again Congratulations from us here at Rosemill!!
We use 30's on most of the horses bodies for shows. Certain colors don't "respond" as well to a #30, we have a couple of the lighter colored horses that we have to be careful with when clipping or they turn pink.
Then their heads we blend, blend, blend with different sized blades.
Just...
Sure didn't sound like it was Lennie using his own words did it???? Whoever did this is so dumb, they used different words then we do here in the states.
Dana, so happy all is ok. I have one tank heater in a tank outside of the barn. I still unplug at night. I hate iced up buckets but am so afraid of fire that we don't leave anything plugged in overnight. We go out in the summer late at night and unplug fans too. Winter stinks and I'm ready...
Sarah will be traveling to South Carolina (Lexington area I believe) the weekend of the 22nd of January. She will be hauling a trailer, going over to Ohio for a stop and then on to S. Carolina. Will be back home by Monday. Anybody need a ride for thier horse going or coming get in touch with...
I used to get real excited when the Journal came in the mail, I would set it aside and wait until I could sit down and enjoy the whole thing. Seems like the last two just didn't have much in them. I did read the World on line and enjoyed it very much.
Hi there,
We have fed Strategy for years now and have great luck with it. My weanlings also get daily de-wormer and beet pulp. And a nice grass mix hay. Sometimes they need more grain then you would think. I have a taller one that actually gets 1/2 times more then the others. He's a little...
I don't know you but I want to say I'm sorry this happened to you and to your gelding. As I sit here thinking of something to write I'm pretty much at a loss of words. I'd be afraid of this person that did this, what if they have a child that plays sports, are they going to hurt someones child...
I "think" for AMHR you have to show under 4 judges at two different shows. And I think there are special qualifications for youth, maybe different from what I wrote above, maybe something like show at one show but they have to be shown in youth classes. Hope I'm right, pretty close though.
I disagree, I think Mark the announcer is great!! He adds excitement even after the looonnggg classes. Maybe the problem is in the sound of your computer, I know mines not the clearest.
As for the adult popping in maybe just insuring a great photo???
We had the pleasure to watch one of the youth jumper classes which I think your oldest son had a couple horses in and every jump you sons horse jumped Bob would "jump" right along with him from the middle of the arena. You folks have to be exhausted after Nationals. I also had the pleasure of...
Great observations!! I totally agree with you on a lot of them!! Happy to read how much you seemed to enjoy yourself. Nationals certainly isn't for everybody....lots of hard work, late nights, and pushing yourself to the limit! But...great horses, great people all working towards the same...
Yes Dana we should be in the same area as last year, we've been in this same barn since the show moved to Tulsa as we stall with a bunch of friends we've met over the years.
We are in the Explorer barn right across from the vender area, and you can walk up the steps to the seating area of the arena from the vendor area. It's really a nice setup. There are great wash racks, bathroom/shower facilities and there is concession food on grounds but theres lots of places...
