Yes, I realize they are talking about giving to mare after she foals.... But my vet said NO WAY, that it goes striaght thru mares milk to foal.....

Just curious.....I had my vet out yesterday to do a mare & foal check....I asked her about giving Banamine to mare....and she said never, that it goes straight to foal???? I am puzzled....

I am sooo sorry for your loss. I too had a bad start to faoling season, and on the same day as you too. My mare Lena went into premature labor as well Monday. We didnt catch it until I did night check, and when I brought her in to check her I realized she had already foaled. We got snow that day...

Okay, now I am really confused. I thought I had myself prepared for a redbag delivery, and now I am confused.....How exactly do you know the difference? If a redbag you have to act quickly and get the foal out,,,,,but it might not be a redbag, so wait???? Can someone please explain this?. Thank you
