    Fly Masks

Oh and Cashel is the brand I use for both my Quarter horse and my adult mini. Love the masks just wish the "mini" size mask Wasn't so large on Bunny.

    Fly Masks

I use a mask on my 9 month old Jewel but the one I bought for Bunny does not fit and she gets it off every time. She also doesn't seem to have nearly the fly issue that my quarter horse or Jewel have. She does fine without it. I remove the masks when they are stalled for the night. For those...

A little magic with the minis and my daughter.

Had a fun little session with my always willing model (my 11 year old daughter) and our new minis, Jewel and Bunny. Captured some new favorite images. Thought I'd share.

No. We are in Northern California:). Del's Cowboy passed not his owner. . He was owned by a sweet couple in Placerville, Ca for a number of years before he passed away at the age of 31. Beautiful boy who was daddy to so many beautiful babies!

Added another beautiful mare to the family. Palomino Pinto

I knew once I bought Jewel I'd most likely want a second mini and it worked out sooner than I expected. I was doing some searching of bloodlines and such one night since I am brand new to miniature horses and ran across the most gorgeous Stallion named Del's Cowboy. I clicked on the link and...

    Jewels color...thoughts on color possibilities?

Oh but she has more and more longer white hairs showing up everyday with some black on her rump also. Time will tell I guess:). Thanks again.

    Jewels color...thoughts on color possibilities?

Thank you. She has mottled skin around her genitals only. She also has white sclera visible but does not have the striped hooves. It will be interesting to see her change. She's losing her tan color around her face already I think. Looking more like her mommas color.

Tricks for my 9 month old filly?

Glad you asked this! My girl is almost 8 months so I'll be watching this thread for suggestions also. We have begun target training with a clicker as of today and she caught on almost immediately:)

    Congrats! What a cute baby.

My camera followed Jewel around again:). Some afternoon romping

After a small storm, this girl was full of it. I grabbed a long lens and captured a bit of her romping. As a childrens photographer I can now say that a playing mini horse is even tougher to capture than a running toddler. It didn't help that I was laughing at her antics. What a goof.

    Jewels color...thoughts on color possibilities?

Jewel has such a cool color right now but being a baby and an Appy I know she will go through some changes. I will attach photos of her mom and dad( his spots are so cool!) I'm thinking she will varnish like her momma maybe but do you think she will be that same color also? She has white and...

New to the forum, new to minis! My sweet little filly, "Jewel". *pics*

Thanks everyone! Question....I know Appaloosa foals go through lots of color changes and Miss Jewel has already had a couple herself. I'm wondering what your thoughts may be on what color she may be as she matures. I'll attach pics of mom and dad (who is awesome looking IMO...those spots!)...
