Bad news; Impaction Colic Surgery. She survived, but isn't out of the woods yet.

@Taz Good ideas!! She does have a feeder ball- it is meant for dogs and looks like a huge tenis ball that she loves, so i'll use that for her grain instead of just treats :) And hopefully we get grass soon!! I have a patch I refuse to mow so I can get long grass to stuff into this ball with...

Bad news; Impaction Colic Surgery. She survived, but isn't out of the woods yet.

SODAPOP NEWS!! She is still colicky, persistantly, BUT they think it's just from her small collen emptying into and going through her large collen and then rectum. When they do internal exams, she consistantly has tiny hard pellets to be emptied out- she's just not activley pooping on her own...

I will go ahead and post it; you're right, worst case an admin can remove it! I have also checked all over the rules and it seems okay?? https://gofund.me/1179b06c

Bad news; Impaction Colic Surgery. She survived, but isn't out of the woods yet.

Hello everybody! We got to visit her today!!! :) Thank you SO much for donating and sharing the page! We are up over 1,000 dollars! This is hugely helpful in getting her home and getting her on the long road to recovery. Today Sodapop had a set back. She coliced again. She started rolling...

They sure do!! The whole house is getting deep cleaned and we're checking everywhere for any possible strings or bands or anything else that might be hiding under furniture (thanks to my cat). And anything labled dangerous is getting rehomed or thrown out! I'm so glad your little one passed it...

Bad news; Impaction Colic Surgery. She survived, but isn't out of the woods yet.

Thank you so much for all the support everybody! We have a new update on Sodapop from her vet tonight: She is alert, she hasn't passed anymore manure but they currently think it's due to her having been so emptied out during surgery paired with eating so little, so they're hoping to see some...

Bad news; Impaction Colic Surgery. She survived, but isn't out of the woods yet.

As soon as they were ready, we went out to the waiting room. We really hurried out there, because she needed another trocarization. She was put under at 3, and they finished at 5. It took until 6:20 for her to be able to walk out and to her stall in the ICU. She did not handle being put under...

Bad news; Impaction Colic Surgery. She survived, but isn't out of the woods yet.

I'll start this off by saying Sodapop at nine months old, not even 24 inches, and 56 pounds with a mild lung infection(that her regular vet missed a week before she coliced) survived her surgery, despite having issues with the anesthetic, the surgeon running into complications, and having a very...

    Crafting in 2022

Oh goodness, I reconize that blanket!! How does Breezy like it? It is SO cute! I can't believe the size difference between him and Soda! 😍 🥰 Here is Sodapop in her matching (but much less fancy!) blanket! I can only imagine how teensy tiny she would be next to him! And here she is in her...

    Crafting in 2022

I am into leatherworking, and have been for about two years now, but I haven't done much the past ten-ish months. I inherited my grandfathers tools though, so I decided to start up a new project; a series of leather halters for Sodapop! This is the first noseband I've made, it took roughly five...

    Best strap location for blanket?

I completely agree, but so far we haven't found a way to keep them up :( Even if we move the strap high as possible placement-wise on any of her vests, the strap just slips down so it's at that position again. The only thing that's comforting is that it's always so loose, she runs and plays in...

    Best strap location for blanket?

Hey there! These remind me of vests for service animals, so i'll post a photo of Sodapop in her vests to help. :) Ours never slip or slide, but make sure you have a way to adjust the straps! This way you can adjust to fuzziness levels and the fluctuations in weight to get a perfect...

    Picture Of Me Driving Kricket.

Woah!! Those are amazing!! I hope to make a DIY cart sometime for Sodapop when she is old enough :) But I just had to comment- I LOVE the name! Mine is spelled just the same! 🤣

    Sodapops Training

That is awesome!! :) It's so good to hear of more service horse handlers! There is a group on Facebook just for service miniature horses with the majority of handlers in the world if he ever needs help with training. <3

    Sodapops Training

Nope! Those are both common myths. :) According to ADA, all that needs to be is 1) That you're disabled 2) That the dog/horse is trained to assist with the disability by providing some sort of work, not just emotional support. In order to be allowed in public they must be housebroken, not...
