    2020 projects

I've been making gourd buttons for a few years. Got requests for clowns from two different collectors. Hmm. I'm not really into clowns, but it's too hot to play outside so I tried making clown buttons. The request was for the clowns "to be doing something". So one is juggling and one is...

    Henry!

Pass on him. Been there, done that. You can't save the world. Save your emotional and financial energy for a different donkey. I think the parents' temperament is saying it all. There are sweet donkeys out there; wait for him. Have to say, though, looking at these recent donkey topics has...

Heavy coat on minis in the summer

I always clip mine. And one I sometimes do again around Sept 1, as he is already growing a coat again. Just our yearly routine.

    Working at the Polls

The recount for the County Commissioner was done today. My husband was an Observer. The candidate who demands the recount has to put up $600, which he loses if the count goes against him. First there was a court hearing with witnesses to determine if anything had been tampered with or there...

    Your Drive Day

When I first got Midnight she was a little crazy around Dapper Dan. I guess because he was a new guy. She settled down in a couple of weeks. Once in a while she does a "mare thing" around him, but not often. She gets anxious left behind or going without him, but doesn't lose her mind. I...

    Working at the Polls

They should have filled out a provisional ballot for you. In our county, if a voter hasn't cast a ballot in three years, he is removed from the roll and has to re-register.

    2020 projects

I was in the mood to cross stitch. In the Victorian era, people loved all kinds of nature things on their buttons: bugs, lizards, spiders. platypus, zebras--- Men also wore buttons with eyes painted on them. Sometimes it was a girl friend, or sometimes they just wore eyes to show they were...

Reintroducing papa to jenny and new filly

Aww! No advice here as I have no experience. But dad is very handsome, and baby and mother look very sweet. Have you tried taking him in with a halter? The mother might be the more aggressive. Hope some chime in with suggestions. How do you pronounce the baby's name?

    Gardening

The artichokes are so pretty in the garden. I've decided to just leave them on the plant and not harvest. It will be interesting to see what they do after blooming.

Happy 4th... And how do you handle Fireworks and Animals???

Yesterday, my husband pointed out to me (pouting) that we didn't have our normal "fireworks treats" this year..... <sigh> So now I've got to remember to pick up on my next SHOP, some watermelon, plus the makings for a "red/white/blue strawberry shortcake! LOL. We had home made ice cream...

That's a lot of money to light a fire to and watch it go up in sparks.

Happy 4th... And how do you handle Fireworks and Animals???

Well, 21 year old grandson came and brought loud ones. The little children asked for hearing protection. The light show was great, but I don't think anyone really enjoyed the mega booms. Those should be enjoyed from a grand stand, not in a backyard. I checked on the horses several times...
