That last photo of you with the yellow accents is amazing.

Is it possible to get all the loose hair off your shedding mini?

May as well clip. They look better and they are so much more comfortable without the hair.

    Starting babies right

You might ask about tips to teach to lead. Mom is beautiful and looks to be so proud of her baby. What did you name baby?

    New Puppy

Stitches out today. The surgery is successful. Now four more weeks of confinement. But no cone, and she is allowed to walk on the leash. Yay!

    2024 crafter's delight - whatcha working on?

The Studio Button Artist book arrived. I am included in it.

    How's the Weather ?

Actually, I think the bird was saying "good dog good dog good dog". Our dog had surgery and is having to do her business on a short leash. We keep encouraging her by saying " good dog good dog"

    2024 crafter's delight - whatcha working on?

It was suggested unakite on a rockhound forum. I'm going to get a better tumbler than the Harbor Freight one. I've seen stones polished by a professional tumbler and they are shinier. They said their is a difference; also different brands of grit. Agates and jaspers are fine with me! And...

    How's the Weather ?

Lovely day today after 3 days of wind and turmoil. While walking Billy I heard a mocking bird say "good job good job good job" several times!

    2024 crafter's delight - whatcha working on?

Took the rocks out of my tumbler today. Just picked up randomly on our walks. Our area is mostly gravel. See anything interesting? Before and After.

    Grooming question

I thought of that, but I'm scared to try it.

    Grooming question

What to do about a fuzzy topknot? I've used my good people hair conditioners on Billy's forelock, ethnic grooming aids, and tried thinning it with the clipper blade. It just springs back into a bushy haystack. If I were showing, I'd slick it down with gel, probably. But just for every day...

    Some photos

First clip for Billy. We are going to a nursing home on May 12, so I wanted him to look presentable, and be cleaner. It's amazing all those little owies and bumps that are revealed by a clip. I was going to bathe first, but weather not cooperating, so I used the air compressor before clipping...

    2024 Hours Driven

Since Pepper is confined with her leash and cone, we did not have the distraction at hitching. So Billy was much better. But he still starts off at the "fancy trot"; I ground drive him till he settles and will stand. He is so good with traffic and noisy dogs. Cool and breezy so he did not...

    New Puppy

Yes, hoping she heals quickly and perfectly. She is being so good now; guess she is getting into the routine. She is eating better; learning to eat with the cone.

    New Puppy

Very difficult to keep her confined and wearing the cone collar. She does put weight on the leg and the surgery site looks good. 10 more days to go till getting the stitches out and, hopefully, a little more movement allowed. Hoping this fixes the problem. What an ordeal for her and us.

Mini horse giving neurological symptoms? Help!

Could be laminitis. Is he overweight? Is he laying down more? Hooves may not show signs.

    New Puppy

Brought Pepper home today. Vet said everything went really well. The little V in the bone that is supposed to hold the femur was barely there. He sawed a larger V, cut the taut ligament and tightened the looser one. She is resting calmly so far, and even ate some crunchies. Antiobiotic...

    Billy

Been out of town for nearly a week. Hubby kept an eye on Billy; I left him out in the pasture to make it easier. Gave him a good brush today and checked his feet. I think they are looking better; I whisked the rasp down on the toe, but will not interfere with any sole work. I think he was...
