I have been flicking the end of his nose with my finger and saying No when he bites....not real hard but hard enough that I get his attention. I do agree that this behavior needs to be stopped before it gets out of hand. This is my first foal so I just wanted to see what you experienced horse...
Hi....my little colt, who is 3 weeks old, wants to keep biting my clothes or shoes....what is the best way to teach him not to bite? He doesn't have any teeth yet but I want to stop his biting before he gets his teeth!! I have to really watch him around my Grandkids. He is a sweetheart...
The vet came this morning and checked everyone out and all are in great shape! Such good news to hear....also today I didn't hear any congestion or coughing!! Now I need to come up with a name.....maybe "Lover Boy"? He has that little upside down heart....and he has stolen mine...
He is still congested this morning and has a little cough so I called the vet and she is coming tomorrow morning to check him out. Peace of mind is a great thing!

Thank you to everyone for all the expert advice! I got some alfalfa cubes and will soak them and feed along with some grass hay. The owner/breeder that i'm getting my girls from feeds them a mixture of horse feed and corn. I will continue that for now and eventually just feed them a good...
