Ok I have been hashing over asking the LB parents what would you do?

And I am sure she does not. Every si/addiction case is different and no one method will have success in every instance. MM - Since your daughter has asked for help - ask her which method of treatment she thinks would be best for her.

It sounds like you may be speaking from a bad experience. In the case of my daughter it did work. She needed the intensive therapy she received in house rather than as an outpatient.

I too had a self mutilater (spelling ?), a "cutter". She was 15 at the time and there was a popular girls book out called "CUT". I don't know why she did it, but think it was for attention and boy did she get attention! Her best friend called and told me what she was doing. I got off the...

Ok I have been hashing over asking the LB parents what would you do?

I have six daughters aged 17-27 and I have been where you are now. I have paid them to do chores that they have not done, I have come home to a house smelling of a "party" and I have put locks on things I never thought I would. I have been through the disrespect and the "being nice when they...

My real estate agent (who is a family friend) said they would never accept less than the 26,000. Between Fannie Mae ticking me off and the comment from Rick it became a challenge to see how low they would go. I tried to give away that old barn wood for free and nobody wanted it!!!! Because...

Reo - I think my Dad really did know her - but not in that way (I hope). Sonya - you are close enough to our project to get a hammer with your name on it! It is sad what is going on with the housing market in Michigan right now. But if you have money now is definitely the time to buy. People...

Farm house project surprise for Hubby!!!!!

I have most details on my other thread 'progression of farm house". We did not own it in 1984. This was our third summer of owning the property. I would love to get an updated photo done, but the property is not ready for that yet. Yes, the circle drive is still there and sooooooooo...

Farm house project surprise for Hubby!!!!!

So my husband is impossible to buy a gift for - if he wants something he just goes out and buys it. As you can imagine this makes it nearly impossible to surprise him with something he really likes. He had mentioned in the past that he wants three flagpoles in the yard, an American flag, a...

Marty - Are you trying to get me kicked off the board???? I am sure there is a rule about posting "those" kind of pics on here! (But I can scan and email it to you. ) This property is a Michigan foreclosure. It is not too far from Frankenmuth if anyone wants to stop by - but fair warning -...

My Dad is 89 years old and when we started this project he kept saying "You're going to find treasure in those walls!" The only thing we found was an instant polaroid behind the baseboard in the bedroom - let's just say the female was "pleasuring" the male. The next time Dad said that line I...

As far as barns (all these pics are from our first/second summers out there, this was our third summer)... Our first summer my daughter and I gutted all the plaster and lath and removed a barn. Second summer was structural work to house and barn and tear down of another barn. This summer was...
