I decided to put the dressage saddle on jazzy today! She was good, which i expected. Only problem was she wouldn't stop trying to eat her leadrope, lol! Anyways, nothing new really. I just wanted to take pictures because it was the first time she's had this particular saddle on. and it makes me want to ride her. I honestly think that I can do it. I know i'll get hurt, but i want to do it! It won't be for another year and a half at the least, but....i can't wait.

(Also, in case you're wondering, she's a year and a half old. (born feb 24, 2006) Her dad is APHA registered, her dam is presumed to be a Thoroughbred, and was a rescue, but we've had her healthy for several years now and love her to death.)

Also, her winter woolies are just starting to come in, and they are WHITE! Still not greying out, but she's sabinoed up like mad! It kills me, though, because everyone around me is oldschool, and keeps saying she's greying, but she isn't at all yet. That's all just roan.

the end!

Oh, and another update, she ate her first ever apple yesterday! I'm wary of giving her treats, because she's so mouthy, but everytime i try to feed her an apple she sniffs it and thinks she's eaten it, but hasn't. So yesterday i tried again, and she actually ate some of it. She threw most of it when she tossed her head and smacked her lips, but some of it got eaten, lol!

: what a beautiful horse you have, her markings are very striking, and I bet you if you start her slowly she will be the best riding horse you have ever had. She certainly looks to be taking everything at this point with a grain of salt and that's wonderful. If she starts to not be so keen, then don't rush it... as far as I am concerned you are better off taking you time in starting them and doing it right the first time or perhaps in the excitement rushing it and having problems that may always creep up or that you will have to go back and try and fix at a later date.

Just beautiful she is!
