I had a Foundation seal put on my yearling filly's papers, as she has all "A" registered horses on her papers. I am wondering about my stallion... he has no "B" horses on his papers but some of the ponies in his background don't say A or B on them... just the registration number. They are his great-grandparents and are Arenosa. Is he eligible for Foundation seal because they are NOT B, or is he not eligible because they are NOT A? I am still pretty new to figuring out the ponies.

Thanks,

Andrea

Andrea...call the ASPC and ask if he is eligible for Foundation Certification......they can look it up right away......just because a horse has "A" on his papers does not mean that they are eligible.....

My understanding is that a registration number without a letter indicates that the number was issued prior to the A & B designations being added and are considered 'A's.
