Hi Guys,

I just got a new Frontier easy entry cart that fits my gelding very well... & today the seat broke when we were a driving in a field.

Frontier has been great to deal with and is sending a new seat,

but I'm just curious... I can't be the only one who's broken one, but I haven't heard of anyone complaining about it, ever.

Here's two picture to show what happened.

I broke the seat on my greenhawk easy entry cart too, of course I had a metal bar under the seat, so I contiuned using it, thinking it was my weight that was bowing the cart (but Im not that heavy, so i did always wonder.)

When I got it reapolstered this spring, the man who did it assured me the board was broken, and said that many of the basic easy entry carts use this little pitaful piece of plywood for the seat, so he replaced it with 3/4", no problem now, and its also velvet nowinstead of vinyal

Sorry about your seat, hopwe it doesn't happen with the next one!!

Glad to hear they are sending you a new seat, though...

Happens all the time.

I have had three do it.

Now I just reinforce the seat immediately.

As the place I got mine wouldnt replace it.

We unscrewed it and cut an exact replica of the board out of 1/2" plywood.

Once we cut the 1/2" plywood we screwed the other one directly on top of the plywood.

Then screwed it back to the frame of the seat of the cart.

This has held up very very well.

And for showing at the schooling level we just always repaint it black.

Thanks, we have some 3/4 inch plywoodthat should do the trick....we may even put a bit of angle iron across that span of the seat, as extra bracing.
