I'm kinda new to the forum and will introduce myself and my little ones a little later but I currently feel that I am being told a big set of lies (actually not being told anything - the seller has stopped responding to my emails). Can someone please look up my stallion for me (yes, I do own him but I have a real good feeling that his papers are still in the name of his breeder :no: ).

You may PM me the information if you like - I would love to have his pedigree but please pm me the current owner's name?

Possibly the lady you bought him from is just slow at sending in the transfer? If you don`t get any answers, maybe you could contact the breeder? Laura is a real nice lady. Just a thought. Good Luck.

Yes, I have been in touch with Laura and she has been very nice and helpful - even sent me photos of him prior to me purchasing him!!

I just thought that I covered my butt, but apparently not enough......not sure where I'm going to head with this problem yet....

I dont know the breeder personally either, but heard she is very nice. I am sure she could help if need be?! Yes, if you are buying him from someone else, he is still in the breeders name. I would contact her directly. Hopefully there is not another problem as to why this horse was not transfered!

Oh, just one more thing.... the person I bought him from (it was NOT Laura, to make that clear

: ) has two R foals on the ground and one on the way.... I'm sure that complicates the transfer of name?! And from the R papers he was born in February '03 so he should have been brought to perm by the end of this year - correct?

Weeeelllllll....may I point out that the seller isn't rating very high on the intelligence meter? Unless she had the horse transferred into her name, she cannot register those foals. (I am not looking at a rulebook right now, but not sure if the foals can even be registered from a stallion who hasn't been brought permanent.) So, it could be that she now has a few well bred grades on her hands, and isn't being "nice" to the one who could help her out.

Were I you...I would contact the breeder, and ask her if and when she signed a transfer to the one you bought him from, and what the date was. Could be, that transfer has expired, (is that possible, anybody??) and you could perhaps have her sign one over to you? Did YOU get a transfer when you bought him? If the seller signed it as the "registered owner" she may have committed fraud, because she is NOT.

How on EARTH do these people expect to make or retain a reputation, after pulling crap like this?

We have discussed this before, and it really is too bad that we cannot make and publish a list of such people.

Good point Kaykay..... if the papers are not to be seen, I would certainly be not only contacting A and R, but also Laura, the breeder and find out what is going on. She may be able to advise if there are issues or what going on here.... maybe SHE still has the papers??

I've been in contact with Laura and she has done what she was suppose to do! It is up to the person who bought him from Laura and who I bought him from. I am basically nervous and upset right now because the person I bought him from is NOT answering any of my emails anymore......She also has all but one of her mini's up for sale and advertised as registered, including the foals!

When I looked at him I asked about the papers, she said that she had them but had to transfer them into her name. Being a newbie with the paperwork, that doesn't sound like a very difficult thing to do but after reading some threads on this board and realizing that she has foals on the ground from him and he is still not in her name - I'm beginning to wonder about the R papers.

I emailed her and told her that I would take care of all late fees involved for transfering him on the A papers but it was up to her on the R because of the late stallion reports and the foals - NO ANSWER, nothing in the mail!

I will email her one last time and then send a certified letter along with a copy of the bos/contract stating that she was going to take care of all paperwork, give her a dealine and then contact a lawyer

I don't like doing this but I hate getting screwed worse.....I paid for him in full before coming here, she changed the date a couple of times on the delivery of him and then when she finally showed....she forgot all the paperwork on her kitchen table! What would you have done - turned away a horse that you already paid for???
