    overchecks and grass snatching ponies

Yes. I stand with a crop butt end down in my hand and in nice green grass in a halter and loose lead. When they go to put thier head down I say head up and block them with the handle end of the crop. I sometimes have to gently bop them, but it doesn't take very long and they get it. I also have...

    Bling up your harness

If this wasn't a show harness you could go to a store like Michaels and buy jewels and glue them on. Bedazzled.

    Modifying an open bridle

I personally like a smooth mullen mouth. Not to thick for a mini. Sometimes with a broken bit they have too much going on in their mouth and get behind the bit.

    driving shows

I saw the rules about posting horses for sale but didn't see anything on this topic. There is a new driving show in Iowa, can I talk about it and inform people it is there?

How to clean and maintain a leather harness.

After use I wipe down with a damp rag. For deep cleanings. I use a powder detergent dissolved. I can't think of the name of it. Has a weird name and is cheap at Walmart. Wipe off all dirt and grime and then I spray with leather new and rub it in. After it is dry I take a gloss black cream shoe...

    Teaching to stand

I would start this training while in the long lines and not hitched. Stand and when he acts up, keep contact, say whoa and bop him on his side with the driving whip. He may freak out a time or 2 but will learn quickly. I do this while standing for quite some time. 15-20 minutes regularly. My...
