What Are The Going Prices For Miniature Horses?

Someone directed me to this site. There are two registered and bred mares for sale on it within my price range. I wanted to see what you guys think of them quality wise? Its kind of hard to tell since they have their 'winter underwear' and have baby bellies. http://midnightmini.googlepages.com/

What Are The Going Prices For Miniature Horses?

Do you want a baby or something bred/breeding age? I would prefer a breedable or a bred mare but I also wouldn't mind a young filly. Are associations going to be important to you? (AMHR, AMHA, ASPC or some combination) If I raise show quality Miniature Horses, then yes, but if I just decide...

What Are The Going Prices For Miniature Horses?

I have contacted Timberview Miniature Appaloosas and I am now waiting to hear back from them. In my opinion their horses are beautiful in both conformation and coloration. I would love to buy a filly from them this year and see if maybe we can make a deal payment wise. And I have actually been...

What Are The Going Prices For Miniature Horses?

Breeders are willing to take payment plans on their horses? If so that would change everything, because I thought for sure that you would have to pay full price at the purchase of the horse. Here is one breeder that is only a hour or two drive from us -...

What Are The Going Prices For Miniature Horses?

How much would a nice quality filly cost? Either as a young filly or as a breedable or bred mare? I'm open to changing my mind and aim towards the quality, even if its just one vs. two. I do see the points that you guys are making. Breeders are willing to take payments? If so then that might...

What Are The Going Prices For Miniature Horses?

I have been doing research on them and I am most certain that I do want to raise Miniature Horses. I'm not looking to make a profit on them, maybe just break even in the long run. I guess that at this point show quality isn't as important to me. I do want to raise quality miniatures in the...

What Are The Going Prices For Miniature Horses?

I see your point. I fear however that I couldn't afford to buy one show quality filly, much less two. Not when the going prices are $1000.00 at the lowest and more commonly in the $2000.00 range. At least not at the moment that is. My plan was to start off with one or two non show quality mares...

What Are The Going Prices For Miniature Horses?

I know that show quality Miniature Horses are anywhere between $1000.00 to $2500.00 and upwards, but what about pet quality Miniature Horses? What are their going prices? B quality I suppose you call them. I have been reading through the threads here on Lil Beginnings as well as doing some...

Mini Mills (something like puppy mills)

I want a miniature horse as a pet right now but if its a filly or mare I might want to breed her in the years to come. I would probably keep the foal as another pet though for myself rather then sell it.

Mini Mills (something like puppy mills)

Sorry to be confusing. By lower quality I mean that the quality isn't what you see in the show rings yet the horses are still nice animals with decent conformation. Poor quality I see as animals with under bites, or other big faults that are at risk of passing onto their foals. And I didn't...

Mini Mills (something like puppy mills)

I just brought up goats as a example... But while on the topic... you are wrong when it comes to goats. Goats are shown just as much as Miniature Horses are. Some of the best sell for a very large amount of money. Goats are used as pack animals, cart animals, show animals, and also used for...

Mini Mills (something like puppy mills)

To say that people shouldn't breed unregistered pet quality miniature horses is just wrong. There is nothing wrong with these types of animals just because they aren't as flashy as a registered show animal is. They are the same animal in a less flashy way. I think that all Horses are beautiful...
