I hope you will be able to attend my club's show. We always have a good time at the Wichita show. I know that Laura Mullen will do an excellent job as show manager this year. If you have any questions about the facilities or anything else pertaining to the show, I would be happy to answer...

Good ending to a sad week

Our week started off very tragic with the death of our beloved gelding, Diamond M Classic Blue Image. The morning after he died, I dreaded walking into the barn and not hearing him nicker at me for his breakfast. The barn seemed painfully empty without him. I was in tears as I checked my...

    Are they always for sale?

Our gelding Diamond M Classic Blue Image, aka Beau was one of those priceless horses that would have never been sold for any price. In fact, a few years ago at Worlds, a very well known and wealthy person in the AMHA approached my son who was 12 at the time and asked him if his horse was for...

Sharing the grief of loosing a show horse...

Thank you all for your warm thoughts and concern especially to Janet and Charolette for posting for me. My family and I are just devasted and shocked. He was just fine last night. My vet is thinking a stroke, anuerism or heart attack. We will have the results from the vet college back in a...

Email I got from a horsey friend - It was true for me

Amen!!!!! I know as a single mom, I financially struggle to afford to have our horses and go to the shows but, the investment is very small compared to all that we have gained from our life with horses. My 11 yr old daughter Ashley, won a World CH and a Res. World Ch at the 2007 AMHA World...

Anyone have pictures of Cinderella type carriage?

A friend of mine is getting married this summer and has asked to use our white miniature gelding and cart as their get away carriage. I know that I have seen pictures in the past of carts that are decorated in a fairytale type fashion but, cannot find any pictures of them now. Can anyone...

    Friends of Tammy Nuttall

Tony, Gayle actually collapsed after suffering an anuerism in her stomach and then underwent emregency surgery to fix it. Unfortunately, they could not get her blood pressure back up after the surgery. I was fighting back the tears when I called and gave your wife the message, so I am sure...

A few things of concern/for discussion relating to our breed

Natalie, Thank you so much for all of your hard work. My daughter, Ashley Zahourek, really enjoyed all of the youth activities at Worlds. Our youth are the future of AMHA and you and the youth comittee are doing a great job of making the World Show something fun for them to look forward...

    Shipping puppies

Delta is an excellent carrier for pets. Yes, they do strictly enforce the temperature regulations. All regualtions for that matter. If you are shipping a short nosed breed, then the temperature requirement is even lower than for regular breeds. Make sure you have your veterinarian put a...

What is your faverite fair food?

The deep fried snickers are frozen candy bars that have been dipped in a pancake like batter and then deep fried. The candy bar barely melts but the outside coating is golden brown. Our State Fair is in 2 weeks and spiral fries with cheese and a Pronto Pup (corn dog) are on the top of my list...

    For those feeding hay cubes

I do soak my cubes and beet pulp together in hot water. It works great, only takes 15 minutes to soften everything when using hot water. I use a separate bucket for each horse. Some of my horses are funny though, they prefer their wet mush to be fed seperately from their grain. Peg Balthazor
