    Lazy Lunging!

I have been working with my 2 year old gelding for a few weeks now. Taught him to lunge very easily. BUT, he drives me crazy! He is sooooo lazy. Any other ideas for conditioning him? Or any ideas on how to motivate him and get some energy out of him on the lunge line?? Thanks!

    Pedigree Questions

I am researching different pedigrees right now, and had a few questions. Who are some of the current, popular stallions that are closely related to Rowdy or Flying W Farms Blue Boy? And where are these stallions located? Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

    Breeding Small Mares...YOUNG!

I will be taking delivery after the foaling, that much is certain! And I use a foaling center for all of my foaling (my horses don't live with me so I don't have any choice there!) Thanks for your thoughts, I really appreciate it!

    Breeding Small Mares...YOUNG!

Well, I have lost foals before, and its certainly not easy...I am emotional but I love the aspect of breeding, my first foal ever is my biggest baby now! The rewards are amazing! :-)

    Breeding Small Mares...YOUNG!

The stallion is a bit dense in bone structure. And he is a full 34." His foals are tall, but refined at birth. And the mare was bred at 2 will be delivering at 3...

    Breeding Small Mares...YOUNG!

I am negotiating right now to purchase a 3 year old mare, and she is only 29" and if foal for 2009. Is this something I should be considerned with? I do like the mare a lot, and am excited about the foal. I just dont want to buy something I will have problems foaling every year. I am an...

    Popular Stallions

Right now, I am breeding with 100% intent to resell. So "brand name stallions" are crucial. A short, dishy, araby head is important to me, and most of my mares pass that on (one does NOT..she passes on a very straight nose!) and the ultra refined look is what I am aiming for. Any suggestions...

    Co-Ownership of Stallions

Thank you all! I have received a lot of info...and think I have made up my mind! Probably just going to pay some stud fees until I am ready to deal with all that goes along with owning a stallion! Thanks again!

    Popular Stallions

"Also, when looking for a stallion to breed to, remember a good foal's dam is 65% to 75% of the quality of the foal. So, a poor mare is not going to give one a good foal bred to the best of stallions." This is a quote from Riverdance...I haven't figured out how to do that yet! ---Very good...

    Co-Ownership of Stallions

I have never owned a stallion, and I am not quite sure I am ready for all of the responsibility that goes along with successful stallion ownership! So, when another farm suggested co-ownership of a stallion, I was intrigued. What are the terms generally for this type of thing?? What are the...

    Popular Stallions

I have several mares open this year and I am looking into breeding them for 2010. What stallions are out there right now that are popular? I have listed a few below...what are your thoughts on them or on particular bloodlines? I will be looking to sell the foals, and I know in this market its...

    Professional Photographer

What is the cost for having them come out to your farm? I looked at their site, and there wasn't much detail. Also, do they handle grooming if you asked them to? If I were going to spend the money on a professional shoot, I would want professional grooming too!

This mini needs a job! Ideas?

I have a sweet buckskin mare that has beautiful movement and listens well, and loves to please. She is not spooky, but she is always a little bit nervous. I was thinking about training her to drive, but with her insecurities, and nervousness, maybe something else would better suit her? She is...
