To my understanding, a horse with black points absolutely cannot carry silver, or it would show, turing the mane and tail to a light color. I bred a black and a bay and got a sorrel.....I am 100% positive of the parentage. I bred the sorrel to a bay with some dun traits and got this filly...

He will only produce buckskins with non-cream mares and perlinos with cream mares. Takes the guesswork right out of it!

Thanks Dona! Echo is a perlino and I don't think he carries silver. I think his (colt's) mane is diluted from the dun gene as Echo has dorsal stripe and leg barring and throws it. I think that's why his eyes are like that, kinda gray/blue. Sarah!?!?

I wanted to ask you if your filly is a dun? My older colt has a dorsal stripe and leg barring. Looks really cool!
