Largest payout I've gotten was $50.00 from a $2 scratch off. Never have come close of the Power Ball.

I did get a winning lottery scratch off ticket a few years ago as a Christmas present....it was for $100.00. I was shocked as I never win anything.

Yes, Dec. 23rd 2001. Driving my old falling apart truck. 7/11 coffee and one Florida 2.00 Christmas scratch off ticket. Started to scratch while I was driving...balancing my hot coffee cup in one hand and attempting to scratch and stear at the same time...not a good idea. Especially when you think you have scratched off 3 matching amounts that look alot like 10,000.00. And your trucks brakes dont work too well. Had to pull over to actually check and recheck. No cell phone back then to call hubby....had to find a pay phone...and dig around for change just to call him. First phone ate my $$ had to find another phone... now I had no change left.

So yes I was one of 10 winners of the 10,000.00 prize. I think I spent most of the $ foolishly..extra Christmas stuff for family. I didnt have horses then or I'm sure most of it would have gone to extras for them. I think my dogs benefitted from it though.

I still buy scratch tickets often ( usually the $2 ones ) and have only won I think 50.00 a couple of times usually a free ticket or a couple of bucks here and there. I think I have given back the state of Florida most the $ they gave me LOL

My cousin won $2000 a week for life (I think she only gets paid for 25 years) here in Ontario a few years ago!! Unfortunately we aren't close

A guy I went to school with did, I'm thinking 8 years ago now. Powerball. But they also won the lottery "curse". Three years later, his first wife passed away, then he passed away, then one of his older sons passed away, all in the same year. They took a life time thing at $315k a year. My son hangs with their youngest son, all by chance,,,don't want him to close though!!

Heck yes, played it every Friday in Florida and won a few thousand over the years. I'd say ball park about $6,000 or so. My mother was notorius for buying tickets and winning really big a lot. Here.......ain't won not even a lousy buck.

hubby didnt win the lottery this year, but he did stop at a casino, this past April with our son and daughter, and SIL and played $20.00 (he's not a big gambler...LOL) and won $129, 500. Took the cash payout for $80,000. and another almost $40,000 came off for taxes. He also retired in March (permanent layoff but he is 64) so the extra money sure did help.

Wow! Great stories.

Last year my sis, her wife, and Kev and I went to the Casino on my birthday. I played a penny machine on the Max. and I just had a good feeling that night. I won the jackpot. It was around $300, but you would have thought I won $10 000+; I was screaming and jumping up and down lol. We had a good night after that, on me

I won $3,200 in a slot machine after dinner one night. But as for the lottery, I won $18 last week.

No more than $20 on a scratch off here

but our niece's mil won the big one a number of years ago, several million.

My biggest "win" has been the golf cart at World in 08.

$250.00 several times on scratch off and slot machines. Right now I have millions and millions on slot machines in my computer but I can't figure out how to get the darn stuff to come out so I can spend it.

Now I don't have a chance because I no longer buy tickets.

We won $400 on the Powerball once, plus several times minimal amounts on scratch-offs. I used to always win the $25 prize when I was little at the nuns festival with the pull-strip bingo cards.

Hey, I DID find a $20 bill in the pasture today, though!! It's VERY worn and tired, but I think I can take it to the bank and get a spendable one....

I'm with Andrea on this one. Gambling is not my chosen form of entertainment.
