I was sent this information in an email. Kinda scary if it's true.

You couldn't get a job at McDonalds and become district manager after 143 days of experience.

You couldn't become chief of surgery after 143 days of experience of being a surgeon.

You couldn't get a job as a teacher and be the superintendent after 143 days of experience.

BUT....

We all have to start somewhere. The senate is a good start, but after 143 days, that's all it is - a start.

AND, strangely, a large sector of the American public is okay with this and campaigning for him. We wouldn't accept this in our own line of work, yet some are okay with this for the President of the United States of America?

I don't understand people, it scares me too.

There's just too much not known about him.

He knows how to talk and tell the story that people want to hear

but just what does he really stand for?????

I want to know, if this all is true, why John McCain is doing nothing about it! It seems that his people, especially Karl Rove, the master of dirty tricks, would be all over the airwaves, print and internet with this.

Of course, they would have to believe that it was at least halfway plausible to link their names with these stories. If it were NOT believable, then Rove could only resort to his usual tactics and spread the tales by whisper campaign...perhaps by email

I think when they say they don't know him, it's because he won't prove what the people want to know and see. He somehow thinks he need not follow the law??????? I have listened to him speak PLENTY and have looked up numerous things on both candidates and have therefore made my decision to vote for McCain/Palin. Too many times it has been said that people don't look things up and believe everything they hear. I don't think that is true. They may not be the PERFECT pair either but I feel FAR BETTER than the alternative. They by far represent what I want in a President and for my family and country.

Susanne, in all due respect have you seen proof of anything that was listed here? I don't think I have. How many days was he working as a senator before he started running for president, if it wasn't what was said here? No one has seen his college records (absolutely can't find anything on Harvard), his medical records, etc. Nothing seems to be available on him. I'm just wondering why. So really not MUCH is known about him.

Is it not bizarre that a candidate for the President of the United States could not pass a FBI background check? McCain, Biden and Palin with their baggage would pass such a test. Do you really believe that if we had the associations that Obama has had, that we would pass any portion of a FBI investigation?

Cathy you're absolutely right. It's ironic (more like moronic) that the position of President of the United States doesn't require any kind of security clearance. Nor (to my knowledge) do the positions of Representative or Senator.

What's wrong with this picture???

You're also right that, with the lack of information provided about his background, there's no way he would obtain a federal security clearance. Actually it's very possible that the little we DO know would disqualify him.

This is one thing I found. "The answer is that for Members of Congress (both House Members and Senators) security clearance vests simply by virtue of their having been elected."

I should write up an email and pass it on to every one and just see if it gets put on here, it would if it was against Obama. Obama's past is an open book as well. Everything is out there - but it is not "evil" enough for some - so it must be twisted and embellished and spread via emails. Who knew that graduating magna cum laude from Harvard and running the Law Review was subversive... or that going to school in Indonesia when he was little would be indicative of.... something or other. It depends what day of the week it is as to what that proves.

Would ANY of this be such an issue.... if he was named George Jefferson?

And if you hold those kinds of records to be important when it comes to becoming president - then McCain graduated 894th out of 899. So are they important - or not?

And yes the flag pin etc. has been beaten to death and gone over time and again - and yet that dead horse is simply not dead enough for some.

Again - I have to ask the question... do some of you really think McCain is THAT stupid? Seriously, unbelievably stupid and clueless?? So dumb, in fact... so incredibly dense... that he would not seize on all these supposed items that suggest terrorism, subversive activities etc.? Apparently so.

Whoever wrote that email that was sent and noted at the start of this thread just shows you how badly people will distort the facts - never mind the truth - that does not suit the emailer's purposes... as in:

Completely false. Not that those who want to believe it will care.

From the time Obama was sworn in on January 3, 2005, to the announcement of his exploratory committee on January 16, 2007, the Senate was in session 304 days. That was the total number of days they were in the chamber - but - SURPRISE! - Senators also work when they are not in session - so that makes it 743 days in the same time period.

But 143 days sounds soooooo much better.... so just ignore the truth - and those extra 600 days...

This IS NOT meant as anything snide but if you can find it please put on a link to his Harvard College. I simply can't find any and I would like to read it instead of people just saying it. I'm not saying he didn't go to Harvard I just want to read about it myself instead of hearing it from people. Thanks.
