This is a substitute bedding that Tractor Supply is using instead of Equine Fresh. (at the same price) Has anyone used this? I wet it down like I do the others but it won't seem to break apart and fluff up. Am I using it wrong?

I bought mine today at TSC store in Ontario, which is the same store as Tractor Supply.

Our bedding is called Guardian Horse bedding.

Found this info for you:

The Equine Fresh Natural Pine Pellet states that. one 40 lb. bag will absorb 120 lb. of moisture. Also, one bag expands. into three more bags of bedding. ...

I use the Pestell bedding for my PMU filly - she has a stall attached to the mini barn and it is wetter. I love the stuff...economical and when wet, it absorbs like crazy and keeps the stall dry (my stalls are cleaned daily). In this stall, regular shavings were always wet, regardless.

Tried it on my Modern Shetland mare who is a pig in her stall but we did not have good luck with it...

I do like it for the big horse...maybe you need more water?

Good luck,

Denise
