Had test done on our filly

Agouti = Aa

Cream = nCr

She is heterozygous for both

I think this makes her officially a silver buckskin pinto as I thought

can you tell me if I'm right?

Her sire is a smutty buckskin who is homozygous for Black

Her Dam a chestnut pinto who carries silver

Eagles Ring Bows French Vanilla

Her head and neck clip came out quite dark which made me wonder

Well she is buckskin and looks silver...did you test for silver too?
No would you think I have to with her mane and tail being so light?

I thought that was a given so I only did the agouti and cream

She has 3 white legs to the knee and 1 white sock so I don't expect

to see anything on her legs except for the sock.

Wow.. She is adoreable!

Her color... mmm The silver buckskins I 've had, had chocolate points, mane amd tail/

Oddly, I have a yearling Buckskin (no silver) her mane is WHITE the last 6 or 7 inches down her neck!

It is wierd!

From you test results... she has to be a buckskin.. I would send them anther check and have them test

for silver. I bet they still have enough hair.

Yes, she looks silver buckskin. She will have the darker legs after she sheds'clipped out. Foals just have those creamy colored legs, and the dark points are under it. Oh, and yes, they can run the silver test with the sample you have already sent in there. I have done that before too. :)

Woot!!! I thought that's what she was all along, but it can be so hard t tell on foals. I'm not sure I'd bother with the silver test as I am sure sure sure that she's got silver in her. She's a pretty girl!!!

I'm with ShashwatAcres - she's adorable what ever her colour. I'm sure she'd love a trip out to Oz lol.....
