I am switching soaked beet pulp to alfalfa cubes, soaked.

How much to feed?

I will be feeding my 30 and 31" stallions along with sweet feed. They are not pastured with mares.

I have been feeding 2 c 12% + 1-2 c soaked alfalfa.

I also have a yearling filly that I rescued that was almost starved. She really wouldn't eat the beet pulp very good, so wanted to start feeding the alfalfa to her too. She is 25". Her belly is looking better, I just need to get the weight up along her backbone.

Thanks.

And have a great Monday!!

Susan, alfalfa cubes should be fed like any other alfalfa hay. 1 - 2 lbs per 100 lbs body weight. Dry measurement. Good luck! I have great luck putting weight on thin horses using alfalfa products.
