I got a very old feather tree at an auction. It was in its original wooden box so I did not see its condition. Oh dear. I found the correct feathers to repair it, but what a job!

I am still working on it. I spend several hours a day. I am on the bottom tier now. I think it is harder to repair one than to start from scratch. Not sure I am even doing it correctly! After I get the feathers all wired on, I will need to dye or paint them to match the original. The new feathers are working well. The trunk is hand-shaped not a dowel, so that might help to date it. The branches are wired on, not attached into drilled holes. The box says Sears Roebuck.

That sounds so cool! Can't wait to see the finished piece!!!! You always do such a great job!!
