whats the average height of a yearling {to the withers}

also i had a foal born last year,

SIRE 29" to the withers

DAM 32"

foal born +16

hes now 23 inches to the withers as a yearling,

any guesses as to what height he will reach??

I would say you might need to measure the canon bone, times the number by four, add 2 more to get an approx mature height.

For example: canon bone 6" x 4= 24" plus 2" = 26" mature height.

There are other formulas, too, which I have heard of to estimate a mature height.

Rabbit was 24" as a yearling and made 28"
