We clipped Diego a little bit today and his color underneath is so cool. It is a dark brown, almost grey at the top, and it is a lighter bay half way down to his belly (belly is a cream). What is this? Will he grow up to be a dark bay or a lighter bay? I can get pictures, if you would like.

It is called Pangaré- it affects the muzzle , lower half of the belly and often the area around the eyes. A lot of Belgians and all Exmoors have it. It can affect any colour

Please excuse the bad clip job. We just did a quick run through on his body to see what was under there. He was such a good boy too. ALso, excuse the second pic's quality. Our dwarf filly was pushing me.

See how dark the top of his body is compared to the "middle"?
